Blower Motor: Service and Repair

Fig. 8 Plenum cover panel removal.:

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. On 1984 models, remove ignition coil.
3. On all models, remove plenum panel seal (3), plenum cover attaching screws (1) and the cover panel, Fig. 8.
4. Remove 3 blower housing nuts.
5. Disconnect electrical connectors from motor and blower resistor.
6. Lift blower motor and housing assembly from vehicle.
7. Reverse procedure to install.
