Shift Modulator: Service and Repair

1. Raise and support vehicle, and drain approximately 2 quarts of fluid from transaxle into a suitable container.
2. Place block under transaxle and remove front transaxle mount.
3. Disconnect vacuum line from capsule.
4. Mark position of capsule and remove retaining bolt and bracket.
5. Remove vacuum capsule, counting the number of turns necessary.
6. Install replacement capsule to the position noted during removal, and secure capsule with bracket and retaining bolt.
7. Connect vacuum line to capsule and lower vehicle.
8. Fill transaxle to specified level, then adjust vacuum capsule as outlined in ``Checks And Adjustments.''
