Fault Code 4/22241

Malfunction indicated
Voltage higher than 18V on ECU pin 25 when car being driven.

Fault symptom
The car goes into Limp Home mode. The TCS CTRL lamp lights up.

Test procedure




1 Check the condition of the battery and make sure that the starting and charging Systems are OK.

2 With the ignition switched off, use the BOB to check that battery voltage is supplied to the following points:
^ ECU pin 13
^ Distribution terminal for +30 supply
^ Main relay pin 30

3 With the ignition switched on, check that battery voltage is supplied to ECU pins 22 and 25.

4 Clean the following earthing points and check that they are not loose.
^ At the battery
^ Earthing point G7 underneath the inlet manifold

5 If the above tests check out OK, clear the fault code and drive the car to see whether it is generated afresh.
If it is, fit a new ETS control unit that is known to be OK.
