Fault (Trouble) Code 36521

With ISAT Tester

1. With ignition in Drive position, enter ISAT command code 200.
2. With brake pedal applied, pressure switch should be open, indicated on ISAT display by 8D000.
3. With brake pedal released, switch should be closed, indicated by 8B100.
4. If signal is correct, perform test procedure for brake light switch.

Less ISAT Tester

1. Switch on ignition and wait for pump to build up pressure in the accumulator. After system has pressurized, switch off ignition and unplug ECU connector.
2. Using a multimeter, ensure circuit across pins 13 and 26 is closed, and that it opens when the brake pedal is applied. If circuit is not as specified, check the following:
a. BN/WH lead between pin 13 on ECU connector and pin 2 on TC block connector.
b. BK/WH lead between ECU pin 26 and TC block connector pin 3.
3. If pressure switch on TC block is faulty, replace hydraulic unit.
4. Perform brake light test procedure.
5. If not faults are found, replace ECU.
