There are several designs of dipstick and it is important to use the correct dipstick with the transmission. The length of the dipstick varies between different versions of transmission as internal capacity varies.
Depending on how the transmission is bled, the design of the dipsticks also varies. If the wrong dipstick is used, excess pressure may build up inside the transmission and the dipstick may be forced out, causing fluid leakage.
The dipsticks have two scales, one for 40° C and one for 80° C.
