Technician Safety Information

WARNING:
- PROLONGED OR REPEATED CONTACT WITH MINERAL OIL REMOVES THE NATURAL OILS FROM THE SKIN, CAUSING IT TO BECOME DRY AND IRRITATED
- IF OIL IS SWALLOWED, DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION.
- SPILL OIL CAN CONTAIN DANGEROUS CONTAMINANTS WHICH CAN CAUSE SKIN CANCER
- ALWAYS USE SUITABLE PROTECTION AND THOROUGHLY WASH THE SKIN.

NOTE THE FOLLOWING
- Avoid prolonged and repeated contact with oils, especially spill oil.
- Wear protective clothing, including gloves whenever possible.
- Do not place oily rags in your pockets.
- Do not wear clothes, especially underwear, which has been soiled with oil. Clothing must be washed regularly
- Do not wear oily shoes.
- Immediately clean open wounds and apply a bandage.
- Use barrier cream. Apply cream before each work shift to make it easier to clean oil from the skin.
- Thoroughly wash using soap and water until all oil has disappeared (special skin cleaners and a nail brush may make this easier). Substances containing lanolin return oils to the skin.
- Do not wash the skin with gasoline, paraffin, diesel, thinners or solvents.
- If there are any changes in the skin, immediately seek medical attention.
- If possible, clean parts before starting work.
- If there is any danger of splashing in the eyes, wear eye protection or face protection. In addition, eye washing equipment should be available.
