Starting From Cold
Cold Starting In AUTO Mode
If cabin temperature is lower than the selected temperature, the ACC control module will activate the cold starting function.
If the coolant temperature is below +75 °C, air distribution will be directed to defrost. When the coolant temperature is above +50 °C, air distribution will be directed straight to DEFROST-FLOOR, which is attained when the coolant temperature has reached +85 °C.
When starting from cold, fan current is also dependent on the coolant temperature. At coolant temperatures up to +40 °C the fan current is 5.5 A, following which the current increase is linear to a maximum of 10 A at +80 °C.
After this there is a linear increase in fan current to 15 A which is attained at +90 °C.
The ACC control module returns to its normal mode of operation as soon as cabin temperature reaches the selected temperature.
