Interior Lighting

Depending on the positions of the ignition switch and interior lighting switch, the ICE module controls the interior lighting by grounding the roof lamps.

The interior lighting is supplied with power (+30) regardless of the position of the ignition switch.

The switch has three positions:
They are:
Position 1: (front position) Both roof lamps on, regardless of the position of the ignition switch, whether the ignition key is inserted or not, and regardless of whether the door is open or not.
Position 2: (middle position) Both roof lamps come on when a door is opened or the key is removed from the ignition switch. (The lamps remain on as long as the door is open or for a maximum of 12 seconds if the door is closed. The interior lighting is then dimmed.)
Position 3: (rear position) Only the rear roof lamp comes on, regardless of the position of the ignition switch, whether the ignition key is inserted or not, and regardless of whether the door is open or not.
To spare the battery, the interior lighting remains on for a maximum of 20 minutes.

To turn on the lighting again (for a fresh 20-minutes period), open and close a door or switch the ignition on and off.

The interior lighting is switched off for a maximum of 20 seconds when starting so that full battery power will be supplied to the starter motor.
