Technician Safety Information

WARNING:
^ Prolonged and repeated contact with mineral oils removes the skin's natural fats which may result in dry and irritated skin.
^ If oil has been swallowed, do not force vomiting. contact a doctor.
^ Waste oil can contain dangerous pollutants which may cause cancer.
^ Always use suitable protection and wash your skin carefully
.

Observe the following rules:
- Avoid prolonged and repeated contact with oils, especially waste oil.
- Use protective clothing, also impervious gloves where practicable.
- Do not put oily rags in your pockets.
- Do not use clothes, especially underclothes, which have been soiled by oil. clothes must be washed regularly.
- Do not use oily shoes.
- Clean immediately any open wounds and then apply a bandage.
- Use protective creme Part No. (45) 30 04 397. Apply to the skin before each work period to make it easier to remove oil from the skin.
- Wash carefully with soap and water to remove all oil (special skin cleaning products and a nail brush can make cleaning easier). Preparations which contain lanolin restore the fats to the skin.
- Do not use gasoline, paraffin, diesel oil, thinner or solvents to clean your skin.
- If any changes occur in your skin, contact a doctor immediately.
- If possible, clean the parts before you start working on them.
- If there is a risk of your eyes being splashed, use protective goggles or a face mask. in addition, equipment for cleaning eyes should be readily available.
