Input Shaft Bearing Race

NOTE: Component identifier numbers used in the following illustrations relate to specific steps in the procedures below.





Disassembly
1. Remove the three screws for the support sleeve.
- Put the sleeve and the screws in a safe place.




2. Press out the bearing race with sleeve tube tool No. 87 91 204 with tube tool No. 87 92 236, or equivalents, as support.





Assembly
1. Insert the bearing race using a plastic hammer.
2. Press on the bearing until it reaches the bottom using press drift tool No. 83 90 312, or equivalent.

CAUTION: Supports tool No. 83 90 114 and tool No. 83 90 148, must be used.




3. Install the support sleeve.
- Install and tighten the three screws with a thread-sealing agent.
- Tightening torque: 10-14 Nm (84-120 inch lbs.).

CAUTION:

- Do not forget the thread-sealing agent on the through screws on the support sleeve.
- Risk of oil leakage.
