Headlamp Control Module: Service and Repair

WARNING:
^ HIGH TENSION
Xenon lamp actuators and ignition transformers generate voltages of over 23,000V. Such voltages can be lethal for persons with heart problems or who have a pacemaker. Therefore, handle this system with great respect and turn off the ignition before touching any of the parts in the system.
^ Read Safety and handling instructions, xenon headlamps before starting work.

To remove
1. If replacing the control module: Perform Diagnostic procedures before control module removal.
2. Turn the ignition key to the LOCK position.
3. Remove the headlamp.
4. Turn the headlamp upside down and remove the screws (A) of the AFL control module.





To fit
1. Fit the screws of the AFL control module.

NOTE: Check that the ballast seal is whole and correctly situated.





2. Fit the headlamp.
3. If replacing the control module: Perform Diagnostic procedures after control module replacement. The following is to be taken into consideration before the control module is calibrated.
