Front Fender: Service and Repair

Front wing

To remove
1. Raise the car. Remove the spoiler shield. (A) Unplug and remove the connector. Detach the washer hose if required.







2. Remove the wheel.
3. Remove the wing liner (A) and insulation.







4. Remove the clip in the sill cover rubber strip by pressing in the clip from the front with a pair of pliers.







5. Open the bonnet.
6. Remove the bolts and the clip from the upper radiator member (A).







7. Remove the upper retaining bolts (B) securing the headlight.
8. Loosen the corners of the bumper shell from the holder and place the shell under its guide.







9. Remove the lower retaining bolt (A) securing the headlight.







10. Lift out the headlight and unplug the connector (B).

11. RH: Remove the nuts (A), detach the cable and remove the horn. Remove the bolts from the upper section of the front wing.







LH: Remove the nuts from the upper section of the front wing (A).







12. Remove the clip (B) on the cowl cover.
13. Slacken the bolt (C) located by the front door hinge.
14. Remove the Sill cover or Sill cover, CV
15. Remove the lower bolt for the wing from the sill (A).







16. Remove the side direction indicator (B).
17. Lift up the front of the front wing fastening lug.
18. Remove the front wing.

To Fit
1. When replacing the wing, transfer the guide for the shell and plastic clips (B) for attaching the headlight.
2. Position the mounting lug against the slackened bolt (C) by the front door.







3. Align the wing under the bulkhead cover, under the bonnet hinge and the mounting lug above the bolts in the front edge.
4. Thread all the bolts (A)
When changing wing, align it with the bonnet and the door. If the old wing is being refitted, adjust it to the previous position.

5. Fit the nuts to the mounting lug in the front edge.

LH: 2 nuts.

RH: 1 nut (A) and the horn's nut.







Tighten all bolts. Fit the clip to the cowl cover.

6. Fit the Sill cover or Sill cover, CV
7. Plug in the direction indicator connector (B). Fit the direction indicator lamp.







8. Pull out the clip (A) in the rubber moulding using a pair of pliers.







9. Fit the insulation behind the wheel.
10. Plug in the headlight connector (B).







11. Angle in the headlight.
12. Fit the lower retaining bolt (A) securing the headlight.
13. Lift up the bumper shell under the headlamp. Press the shell clips into the holder until the fasten.







14. Fit the bolts and the clip to the upper radiator member (A).







15. Fit the upper retaining bolts (B) securing the headlight.
16. Fit the wing liner (B) and the wheel.







17. Fit the bolts (A) to the bumper shell in the wing liner. Fit the spoiler shield (A). Plug in the connector and fit the connector. Fit the washer hose where appropriate.







18. Check the fit of the front wing and bumper and the alignment of the lights.
