Symptoms - Roof

Important: Complete the following procedures before using the symptom tables.



1. Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle (Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview) in order to verify that all of the following conditions are true:

* No DTCs are set.
* The control modules can communicate via the serial data link.

2. Review the system description and operation in order to learn the system functions. Refer to Sunroof Description and Operation (Description and Operation) .



Visual/Physical Inspection

* Inspect for aftermarket devices which could affect the operation of the power sunroof system. Refer to Checking Aftermarket Accessories (Component Tests and General Diagnostics) .
* Inspect the accessible system components for obvious damage or for conditions which can cause the symptom.



Intermittent

Faulty electrical connections or wiring may be the cause intermittent conditions. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections (Component Tests and General Diagnostics) .
