Installing Manifold Gauge Set

Always wear goggles and wrap a clean cloth around fittings, valves and connections when performing work that involves opening the refrigerant system.
Ensure gauges read zero before installing manifold gauge set.
1. Close both hand valves of manifold gauge set.
2. Connect low pressure (blue) gauge hose to suction service port, located on the suction pipe, Fig. 1.
3. Hand tighten gauge hose nut, then connect adapter to high pressure gauge hose, Fig. 2.
4. Connect high pressure (red) gauge hose to discharge service port, located on the discharge pipe.
5. Hand tighten adapter hose nut to discharge service port.
