Transmission Temperature Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair

Transaxle Temperature Sensor Replacement:




Transaxle Temperature Sensor Removal:






REMOVAL

1. Remove air induction system from the battery tray and move aside to provide access to the sensor. Remove the air filter box.


2. Loosen air box to air induction tube clamp, and remove air box.

3. Disconnect electrical connector from transaxle temperature sensor, use pliers to squeeze connector while removing.


4. Remove sensor.



INSTALLATION

1. Apply sealant with Teflon on threads before installing.


2. Install sensor.


Torque: 8 Nm (71 in lbs)


3. Connect electrical connector to sensor.


4. Install air box and install three air box to frame rail bolts.

Torque: 10 Nm (89 in lbs)


5. Tighten air induction tube to air box clamp.


Torque: 2 Nm (18 in lbs)


6. Replace any fluid lost.
