Insallation

NOTICE: The generator shield must be installed to prevent premature generator failures due to foreign debris intrusion.

1. Position generator on lower cylinder block bracket and install the lower attachment bolt.
2. Install upper attachment bolt and the two wiring harness connectors.

Generator Attachment Bolts:
Torque: 37 N m (27 ft-lbs)

Generator Positive Terminal:
Torque: 10 N m (89 in-lbs)

3. Install the splash shield and fastener bolt.

Torque: 10 N m (89 in-lbs)

4. Connect the battery negative terminal.
