Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

Crankshaft Position Sensor.:

CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (CPS) REMOVAL

1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Jack or raise vehicle.
3. Disconnect electrical connector from CPS.
4. Remove attachment bolt and CPS.

INSTALLATION

1. Lubricate O-ring with clean engine oil.
2. Install CPS in engine block.
3. Install CPS attachment bolt.

^ Torque 9 Nm (80 lb in)

4. Connect electrical connector to the CPS. Push in until a click is heard and pull back to confirm a positive engagement.
