Transaxle Connectors:
REMOVAL
1. Remove air induction tube.
a. Remove the air filter box. Lift the resonator upward to disengage it from the support bracket.
2. Disconnect electrical connectors from selector switch.
3. Disconnect shifter cable from control lever.
4. Remove retaining nut from control lever shaft and remove manual lever. Note lever position.
5. Remove two selector switch-to-transaxle case bolts and remove switch.
INSTALLATION
1. Install switch to transaxle and install switch to case bolts. Do not tighten bolts at this time.
2. Install manual lever-to-control shaft and install nut.
NOTICE: Once lever is installed. Do not rotate with excessive force as switch could be damaged.
Torque: 12 Nm (106 in lbs)
ADJUSTMENT
1. Place transaxle in D (Drive). Use ohmmeter or continuity tester to check for continuity across terminals on selector switch if no continuity is present rotate switch to achieve continuity.
2. Tighten switch to case bolts. After switch to case bolts have been tightened check continuity.
Torque: 14 Nm (124 in lbs)
3. Install cable to control lever and adjust cable.
4. Connect electrical connectors.
5. Install air filter box.
Torque: 10 Nm (89 in lbs)
6. Install air induction tube and tighten clamps.
Torque: 2 Nm (18 in lbs)
