Defect Involved

Saturn has decided that the 1st Edition content of the 1997 Saturn Owner's Handbook fails to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment." The section titled "Horizontal Aim" on Page 298 of the Owner's Handbook does not specifically instruct how to adjust the horizontal aim of the headlamps for the 1997 Saturn SC1 and SC2 (two-door Coupe) model vehicles.

Saturn is asking owners and/or Retailers to place a label with the complete information on headlamp horizontal aim over the existing text on Page 298 of the 1st Edition Owner's Handbook. If the owner is not comfortable placing the sticker on Page 298, owners are given the option of having a Retailer do it for them at no charge.
