Battery Negative Cable
Battery Negative Cable Removal:
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery negative cable from the battery.
2. Remove air induction system.
3. Disconnect the negative cable from the chassis ground located just behind the under hood junction block.
4. Disconnect cable from transaxle bell housing.
5. Remove cable noting position of the cable for installation.
INSTALLATION
1. Position battery negative cable and ensure it is routed correctly.
2. Connect the cable to the transaxle bell housing.
Torque: 28 N^m (21 ft-lbs)
3. Connect the negative cable to the chassis ground located just behind the under hood junction block.
Torque: 28 N^m (21 ft-lbs)
4. Install air induction system. Make sure air induction system does not contact battery negative cable.
5. Connect the battery negative cable to the battery.
Torque: 17 N^m (151 in-lbs)
