Service Manual Update for 1998 Revised Edition Powertrain Controls Service Manual - Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) PO449

MODELS AFFECTED:

1998 Saturns

PURPOSE:

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) procedure for the EVAP System

Canister Vent Solenoid Circuit Fault is incorrectly labeled as DTC PO448 in the 1998 Revised Edition Powertrain Controls Service Manual. There is no DTC PO448 for 1998 model year vehicles.

All references in the diagnostic information located on pages 18, 198 and 199 should be labeled DTC PO449. The content of these pages 15 correct for diagnosing DTC PO449.

Please update all copies of the 1998 Revised Edition Powertrain Controls Service Manual by crossing out all references to DTC PO448 and replacing with PO449 on pages 18, 198 and 199.
