Installation

1. Connect cables to shifter control assembly. When installing shifter cable, use a pair of channel lock pliers to snap cable end socket into ball.

NOTICE: Use care when handling shifter control assembly while installing cables. The push rods can be bent and will affect shifting.

2. Install shifter control assembly retaining nuts.

Torque: 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.)

3. Install cable retainer plate and install bolt.

IMPORTANT: Install the cable retainer plate with the arrow pointing toward the front of the vehicle.

Torque: 10 Nm (88 inch lbs.)





4. Install cable guide.
5. Check to see that cables are not kinked and that shifter operates properly.
6. Install wiring harness clip to shifter control assembly.
7. Install control lever boot assembly. (Refer to "Console Installation" procedure.)
8. Enable SIR system. (Refer to "Enabling the SIR System".)
