Front Side Door Locking Rod Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement. Service and Repair
2. Pull back the front door water deflector enough to access the lock rod. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement. Service and Repair




3. Detach the lock rod from the latch assembly by pulling outward.
4. Remove the lock rod by pulling up through the access hole.



Installation Procedure





1. Place the lock rod through the access hole.
2. Attach the lock rod to the clip and engage by pushing toward the outer door panel.
3. Inspect the operation of the lock rod.
4. Install the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement. Service and Repair
5. Install the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement. Service and Repair
