Accelerator Control Cable

REMOVAL




1. Release accelerator control cable from throttle lever.
2. Release cable retainer locking tangs from accelerator control cable bracket.




3. Release accelerator control cable from accelerator pedal assembly.
4. Pull cable assembly to disengage rubber grommet from cowl plate.
5. Remove cable from vehicle.

INSTALLATION




1. Route the cable through the front of dash from the outside in, over the camshaft cover, and over to the throttle body bracket.
2. Push cable through front of dash to engage rubber grommet.
3. Connect accelerator control cable to accelerator pedal assembly.




4. Install accelerator cable to throttle body support bracket assuring that locking tangs engage.
5. Connect accelerator cable to throttle lever.
6. Check accelerator control assembly for binding.
