Air Cleaner Housing: Service and Repair

REMOVAL




1. Disconnect Intake Air Temperature (IAT) electrical connector.
2. Unsnap EVAP purge valve assembly and secure Out of the way of air cleaner assembly.




3. Remove air cleaner lid:
a. Loosen hose clamp at throttle body.
b. Slide off hose assembly at throttle body.
c. Unclamp air cleaner lid.
d. Remove air cleaner lid, IAT sensor, and hose as an assembly.
4. Remove air cleaner from air box.




5. Remove air box mount bolt.
6. Remove air box.

INSTALLATION
1. Install air box. Ensure that lower pin engages into rubber mount grommet and that lower duct fits into resonator outlet.
2. Install air box mount bolt.
3. Install air cleaner.




4. Install air cleaner lid. Ensure that the lid hinge is fully engaged in air box slots or the lid may not properly seal.
5. Slide flexible hose and hose clamp on throttle body.
6. Tighten hose clamp.




7. Install EVAP purge valve assembly.
8. Connect IAT electrical connection.
