35. Selective Washer Measurement and Installation

Tools Required
- J34673 Flat Gauge Bar





1. Place J34673 across machined surface of case.
2. Measure distance between top of direct/coast clutch housing and machined surface of case (record measurement).
3. Note recorded measurement and choose the correct selective washer. Refer to "End Play Specifications Chart" in the "Specifications".





IMPORTANT: Position tab, on selective thrust washer, in recessed area for retainer and ball assembly.

4. Assemble selective thrust washer onto top of input housing.
5. Assemble thrust bearing over input shaft and onto top of selective thrust washer.
