ECU MALFUNCTION
This DTC identifies and internal fault with the electronic brake and traction control module (EBTCM).
CODE PARAMETERS
DTC C0550 will set if:
^ An internal EBTCM malfunction exists.
^ When this trouble code sets the EBTCM will disable ABS, Traction Control and Dynamic Rear Proportioning and turn ON the antilock and RED brake telltale
DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
^ The only repair possible is to replace the EBTCM. Make sure to program the correct options in the new EBTCM.
^ The EBTCM must be programmed with the correct engine and transaxle options. A new EBTCM comes with DTC C0551 programmed in it. To clear DTC C0551, program the EBTCM with the correct engine and transaxle options.
