IMPORTANT: Only perform this chart if sent here from Chart 14, "Radio Noise." Chart 14

Sideways Noise
Any noise that enters the audio component by a radiated field through the component case. (Noise is reduced or eliminated when slowly moving the audio component from its fastened location.)

Some Causes:
Noisy wires or metal cables around or on top of the radio.

Solutions:
^ Suppress or shield the noisy wire, metal cable, or reroute it.
^ Shield the radio case.
^ Use aluminum or nickel tape to ground the tape whenever shielding. (Nickel tape will also stop magnetic interference, aluminum tape will not.)
