Engine Lubrication: Service and Repair


IMPORTANT: System must be reset after changing engine oil.

NOTICE: Do not start engine.

1. Turn ignition key to RUN.
2. Remove underhood fuse block cover.
3. Press red "OIL-RESET" button and hold for 5 seconds.

NOTICE: System is reset when SERVICE OIL SOON telltale lamp is flashing. SERVICE OIL SOON telltale lamp will flash for up to 30 seconds or until ignition is turned Off.

4. Turn ignition key to OFF.
5. Check system reset.
a. Turn ignition key to RUN.
b. Check to see SERVICE OIL SOON telltale lamp turn off after 30 seconds.
6. Repeat procedure if SERVICE OIL SOON telltale lamp does not turn Off.
