Upper Radiator Hose


REMOVAL





1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Drain coolant. (Refer to "Draining Coolant".)
3. Compress upper radiator hose to engine clamp and slide hose off of engine fitting, leaving clamp on fitting.





4. Remove upper radiator hose to radiator clamp and remove hose from radiator.

INSTALLATION

IMPORTANT: Engine end of hose is labeled to prevent reverse installation. White line on hose should be installed at 12 o'clock position.





1. Compress upper radiator hose to engine clamp and slide hose onto engine fitting.
2. Install upper radiator hose to radiator fitting.
3. Position upper radiator hose to head clamp at 12 o'clock position.





4. Install upper radiator hose to radiator clamp and position at 12 o'clock position.





5. Connect negative battery cable.
^ Torque: 17 Nm (13 ft. lbs.)
6. Fill cooling system. (Refer to "Coolant Replacement".)
7. Use fresh water to rinse away any coolant that was spilled during service.
