Fuel Injectors
The
ECM controls the ground path for each individual injector through a driver circuit located internal to the ECM. It can alter the injector on-time in milliseconds to achieve a correct
air/fuel mixture based on signals received from various engine sensors. The ECM will turn injectors on and off during deceleration, traction control, misfire diagnostics and if signals from the
crankshaft position sensor are intermittently disrupted.
