Shift Interlock Solenoid: Service and Repair

REMOVAL





1. Disable the Restraint Systems.
2. Remove automatic transaxle control assembly.
3. Using a electrical terminal pick, remove solenoid electrical terminals from connector body.





4. Using a 5/32 inch drill bit, drill out rivet attaching solenoid to control assembly.





5. Remove shift lock control solenoid.

INSTALLATION





1. Route shift lock control solenoid wires through opening in control assembly.





2. Insert wire terminals into connector body.





3. Position solenoid to control assembly and install solenoid pop rivet with a rivet gun.
4. Install automatic transaxle control assembly.
5. Enable the Restraint Systems.
