Battery Tray

REMOVAL

1. Remove battery.
2. Disconnect PCM J2 black 28-way connector by moving locking device toward fender.





3. Remove PCM J1 Black 80-way connector bolt and disconnect.
4. Remove PCM attachment bolts and PCM.




5. Remove battery tray bolts and tray.
(1) One bolt in fender well.

INSTALLATION




1. Install tray and bolts
(1) One bolt in fender well.

Torque: 10 N.m (89 in-lbs)

NOTE: Ground strap must be attached to PCM attachment bolt. The ground strap is a case ground that provides Electromatic Wave Interference (EMI) protection. Correct torque is critical.





2. Install PCM and attachment bolts.

Torque: 6 N.m (53 in-lbs)

3. Connect PCM J2 black 80-way connector and install attachment bolt.

Torque: 8 N.m (71 in-lbs)

4. Connect PCM J2 black 28-way connector and engage locking device.
5. Install battery.
