8. Differential

DISASSEMBLY





1. Drive roll pin from the differential housing and remove the pinion shaft.
2. Rotate pinions out of housing and remove.
3. Remove side gears.
4. Remove liner from housing.





5. Remove differential side bearing.
a. To remove the speed sensor side bearing, a bearing puller can be used.
b. To remove the differential gear side bearing, use a two jaw puller. Place a shield over bearing to provide protection if bearing should break.
