Rear Bumper Impact Bar Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the rear fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the rear energy absorber. Refer to Rear Energy Absorber Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Remove the nuts from the rear bumper impact bar studs.
4. Remove the rear bumper impact bar from the vehicle.
5. Remove the mastic washers from the rear bumper impact bar studs.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the mastic washers on the rear bumper impact bar upper studs.
2. Install the rear bumper impact bar to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the nuts to the rear bumper impact bar studs.

Tighten the nuts to 30 Nm (22 lb ft).

4. Install the rear energy absorber. Refer to Rear Energy Absorber Replacement (Service and Repair).
5. Install the rear fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement (Service and Repair).
