Installation
INSTALLATIONNOTICE: New nut and bolt must be used. Torque retention of old nut and bolt may not be sufficient.
IMPORTANT: Do not tighten fastener at this time.
1. Raise the control arm into the vehicle and install the new rear axle control arm bolts.
NOTICE: New nuts and bolts must be used. Torque retention of old nuts and bolts may not be sufficient.
2. Install upper and lower rear suspension control arms to rear axle control arm bracket using new bolts and nuts.
3. Tighten rear axle control arm bracket-to-body bolts.
Torque: Rear Axle Control Arm Bracket-to-Body Bolts: 90 Nm (66 ft. lbs.)
4. Tighten upper and lower control arm bolts to rear axle control arm bracket.
Torque: Rear Suspension Control Arm-to-Knuckle: 90 Nm (66 ft. lbs.) + 60° - 75°
NOTICE: New bolts must be used as torque retention of old bolts may not be sufficient.
5. Install the shock absorber to the rear axle control arm using new bolt.
Torque: Rear Shock Absorber-to-Knuckle Bolt: 150 Nm (110 ft. lbs.) + 30° - 45°
6. Install stabilizer bar link to control arm.
Torque: Rear Stabilizer Bar-to-Knuckle: 55 Nm (41 ft. lbs.)
7. Install backing plate and rear hub assembly to control arm.
Torque: Rear Hub-to-Knuckle: 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.)
8. Install rear drum/rotors assembly.
9. Install rear drum/rotor attachment screw.
Torque: Rear Brake Drum-to-Hub Screw: 4 Nm (35 inch lbs.)
10. If equipped with rear disk brakes, install rear brake calipers-to-rear axle control arm bolts.

Torque: Rear Brake Line Bracket-to-Knuckle: 8 Nm (71 inch lbs.)
NOTICE: Before installing wheels, remove rust or corrosion from wheel mounting surfaces and brake rotors. Failure to do so can cause wheel bolts to loosen in service.
14. Install wheel and tire assemblies onto hub.
15. Install wheel bolts and tighten in a star pattern.
15.1. Hand tighten all five wheel bolts.
15.2. Use a torque wrench to tighten wheel bolts using a star pattern.
Torque: Wheel Bolts (Initial Torque): 63 Nm (46 ft. lbs.)
15.3. Use a torque wrench to final tighten wheel bolts using a star pattern.
Torque: Wheel Bolts (Final Torque): 125 Nm (92 ft. lbs.)
