Rear Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement (Old Style)
Removal Procedure
Important: The old 1-piece weatherstrip design can not be serviced with the new 2-piece design without using the new window with the concave front edge.
1. Lower the rear door window.
2. Remove the rear door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement Service and Repair
3. Remove the rear door water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement (Service and Repair).
4. Remove the weatherstrip from the weatherstrip guide.
5. Remove the bolt from the weatherstrip guide.
6. Remove the weatherstrip guide from the door.
7. Remove the weatherstrip by lifting up and out of the door.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the weatherstrip to the window run channel by sliding down and into the run channel.
2. Install the weatherstrip guide to the door by pushing the clip on the guide up into the down slot.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
Install the weatherstrip guide bolt.
Tighten the bolt to 10 (89 lb in).
3. Install the rear door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement Service and Repair
4. Install the rear door water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement (Service and Repair).
5. Inspect the rear door window for proper alignment and operation.
