Disassembly

DISASSEMBLY





1. Using special tools Control Arm Bushing Remover/Installer KM-508A-3 and KM-508-1 press out front bushing.





2. Using special tools Control Arm Bushing Remover/Installer KM-907-21, KM-907-22, and Bushing Remove/Installer KM-671 to press out rear control arm bushing.

NOTICE: Do not drill thorough the control arm with a 13 mm (1/2 inch) drill bit.





3. Drill out rivets retaining the ball stud to the control arm as following:
3.1. Drill thorough rivet using an 8 mm (5/16 inch) drill bit.
3.2. Use a 13 mm (1/2 inch) drill bit to break the head off of the rivet.
4. Remove ball stud from control arm.
