44. Forward Clutch Support, Low Roller Clutch Disassemble

FORWARD CLUTCH SUPPORT, LOW ROLLER CLUTCH DISASSEMBLE





1. Remove roller clutch assembly from forward clutch support by turning roller clutch assembly clockwise and gently lifting upward.
2. Remove thrust bearing from forward clutch support.





3. Remove final drive sun gear shaft snap ring.
4. Remove parking pawl gear.
5. Remove forward clutch support to parking pawl gear thrust bearing.
6. Remove forward clutch support from final drive sun gear shaft.

IMPORTANT: The parking pawl pin has a pressed fit into the forward clutch support. The parking pawl pin is not serviceable. Do not remove parking pawl pin.





7. Remove and discard seals from forward clutch support.





8. Inspect snap ring for over extension.
9. Inspect seal grooves for damage.
10. Inspect for signs of excessive bearing and bushing wear.
11. Inspect splines and parking gear teeth for cracks or excessive wear.
12. Inspect fluid teed holes for obstructions.
13. Inspect all other components for excessive wear or damage.
14. Clean and dry all components.
