Engine Lubrication: Service and Repair

RESETTING "CHANGE OIL SOON" TELLTALE LAMP

IMPORTANT: System must be reset after changing oil.

1. Turn ignition key to RUN position. Do Not start engine.
2. Remove underhood fuse block cover.
3. Press red oil reset button and hold for 5 seconds.

NOTICE: System is reset when "Change Oil Soon" telltale lamp is flashing. "Change Oil Soon" telltale lamp will flash for up to 30 seconds or until ignition is turned Off.

4. Turn ignition key to Off.
5. Check system reset.
5.1. Turn ignition key to Run.
5.2. Check to see "Change Oil Soon" telltale lamp turns Off after 30 seconds.
6. Repeat procedure if "Change Oil Soon" telltale lamp does not turn Off.
