Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
The fuel tank pressure sensor is located on top of fuel pump module cover.




1. Remove fuel tank from vehicle.
2. Disengage electrical connector from fuel tank pressure sensor.
3. Remove retaining nut and washer.
4. Disengage sensor from fuel pump module cover.

INSTALLATION

NOTE: To facilitate installation of the tank pressure sensor into its mounting boss on the fuel pump module cover, lightly lubricate the multi-ribbed seal on the tank pressure sensor. A drop of clean engine oil is sufficient.




1. Install tank pressure sensor into the fuel pump module cover mounting boss.
2. Install retaining nut and washer.

Torque:
Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Nut: 2 N.m (18 in-lbs)

3. Install electrical connector to fuel tank pressure sensor.
4. Install fuel tank.
