Manifold Pressure/Vacuum Sensor: Service and Repair

MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE (MAP) SENSOR

REMOVAL




1. Ignition Off.
2. Disconnect MAP sensor harness connector.
3. Remove throttle cable bracket attachment nuts. Pick throttle cable bracket up and move it to the side to allow enough clearance to remove the MAP sensor.
4. Remove MAP sensor and the MAP sensor port seal if it is still retained in the intake manifold.

INSTALLATION




1. Install MAP sensor with port seal into intake manifold.
2. Install throttle cable bracket and attachment nuts.

Torque:
Throttle Cable Bracket Nuts: 5 N.m (44 in-lbs)

3. Connect MAP sensor harness connector. Push in connector until a click is heard and pull back to confirm a positive engagement.
