Oil Pressure Sensor: Service and Repair

ENGINE OIL PRESSURE (EOP) SWITCH

REMOVAL




1. Ignition Off.
2. Disconnect engine oil pressure (EOP) switch harness connector.
3. Remove EOP switch (use 1 1/16 inch deep well socket).

INSTALLATION




1. Apply RTV sealant (or equivalent) to the EOP switch threads.
2. Install EOP switch.

Torque:
Engine Oil Pressure Switch: 10 N.m (89 in-lbs)

3. Connect EOP switch harness connector. Push in connector until a click is heard, then pull back to confirm a positive engagement.
4. Check oil level and fill if low.
5. Start engine and check for leaks.
