Fluid Pump: Service and Repair

OIL PUMP ASSEMBLY AND OIL PUMP SHAFT

REMOVAL
1. Remove transaxle case side cover.





2. Remove oil pump bolts and oil pump assembly.
3. Remove oil pump shaft.

INSTALLATION
1. Install oil pump shaft into control valve body assembly.

IMPORTANT: If necessary, rotate oil pump shaft while installing oil pump assembly in order to engage shaft splices to splines on pump rotor.

2. Install oil pump assembly onto oil pump shaft and control valve body.
3. Hand start oil pump assembly bolts and tighten.
Torque:
Oil Pump Bolts: 12 Nm (9 ft. lbs.)
4. Install transaxle case side cover.
5. Start engine, warm up transaxle, and check for leaks.
6. Check fluid level.
