40. Channel Plate Assembly Installation

CHANNEL PLATE ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION





1. Install channel plate-to-drive sprocket thrust washer onto channel plate.
2. Retain thrust washer with petroleum jelly.
3. Install a new channel plate to case gasket onto transaxle case.
4. Install channel plate assembly onto transaxle case. The channel plate should fit tightly over guide pins located on transaxle case.
5. Install channel plate to case bolts. Hand tighten.
Torque:
Channel Plate-to-Case Bolts: 14 Nm (10.5 ft. lbs.)
6. Install channel plate to driven sprocket support bolts. Hand tighten bolts.
Torque:
Channel Plate-to-Driven Sprocket Support Bolts: 14 Nm (10.5 ft. lbs.)
