51. Thermostat Housing/Thermostat Installation

COOLANT OUTLET HOUSING AND THERMOSTAT (UNIT REPAIR)

INSTALLATION





1. Install thermostat housing with thermostat to engine.
2. Apply thread sealant PST 565 to bolt threads.
3. Install thermostat housing bolts.
Torque:
Thermostat Housing Bolts: 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.)





4. Use new seals when installing thermostat housing extension.
5. Coat new seals with engine coolant to assist in installation.
6. Push coolant extension housing into thermostat housing.





7. Install coolant extension housing bolt.
Torque:
Coolant Extension Housing Bolt: 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.)
