57. Control Valve Body Disassemble
CONTROL VALVE BODY DISASSEMBLEIMPORTANT: Retainer clips hold in each of the valve line-ups. Use a small screwdriver in order to remove retainer clips. Be careful not to score valve body when removing retainer clips and valves. Before removing valve line-ups, inspect each valve line-up for free movement.
1. Remove 3-4 shift valve retainer clip, bore plug with O-ring, 3-4 shift valve, and 3-4 shift valve spring.
2. Remove actuator feed limit valve retainer clip, bore plug, actuator feed limit spring and actuator feed limit valve.
3. Remove actuator oil filter retainer clip, and actuator oil filter with O-ring.
4. Remove Pressure Control Solenoid (PCS) retainer clip, PCS with two O-rings and screen, torque signal regulator valve, and torque signal regulator spring.
5. Remove 2-3 shift solenoid retainer clip, 2-3 shift solenoid with O-ring, 2-3 shift valve, and 2-3 shift valve spring.
6. Remove 1-2 shift solenoid retainer clip, 1-2 shift solenoid with O-ring, 1-2 shift valve, and 1-2 shift valve spring.
7. Remove Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) solenoid retainer clip, TCC solenoid with two O-rings, and screen and TCC regulated apply valve and spring.
8. Remove TCC control valve retainer clip, bore plug, spring, and TCC control valve.
9. Remove TCC feed limit valve retainer clip, bore plug, spring, and TCC feed limit valve.
10. Remove pressure regulator valve retainer clip, bushing, pressure regulator boost valve, isolator spring, pressure regulator valve spring, and pressure regulator valve.
11. Remove 1-2/3-4 accumulator valve retainer clip, plug, and accumulator valve.
12. Inspect valve body passages for debris.
13. Inspect machined surfaces for nicks or scratches. Some polish is normal for machined surfaces.
14. Inspect valves for nicks or scratches that could cause sticking valves or fluid leaks.
15. Inspect springs, bushings, O-rings, screens and solenoids for damage.
16. Clean and dry valve body and valve body components.
