^ ALWAYS DISCONNECT THE NEGATIVE BATTERY (GROUND) LEAD WHEN REPLACING COMPONENTS ON A VEHICLE.
^ REMOVE RINGS, WATCHES AND ALL OTHER JEWELRY.
^ WHEN WORKING AROUND THE BATTERY, ALWAYS SHIELD YOUR EYES. AVOID LEANING OVER THE BATTERY IP POSSIBLE.
^ DO NOT ALLOW BATTERY FLUID TO CONTACT EYES, SKIN, FABRICS OR PAINTED SURFACES; BATTERY FLUID IS A CORROSIVE ACID. FLUSH ANY CONTACTED AREA WITH WATER IMMEDIATELY AND THOROUGHLY, AND GET MEDICAL HELP.
^ BE CAREFUL THAT METAL TOOLS OR JUMPER CABLES DO NOT CONTACT THE POSITIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (OR METAL IN CONTACT WITH TERMINAL) AND ANY OTHER METAL ON THE VEHICLE; A SHORT COULD OCCUR.
^ DO NOT EXPOSE A BATTERY TO OPEN FLAMES OR SPARKS (INCLUDING LIT TOBACCO). BATTERIES PRODUCE A GAS WHICH IS FLAMMABLE AND EXPLOSIVE.
^ NEVER WEAR LOOSE OR BAGGY CLOTHING AROUND MOVING MACHINERY. REMOVE TIES AND ANY HANGING JEWELRY, AND TIE BACK LONG HAIR.
