C0847 - DEVICE IGNITION 1 CIRCUIT LOW









The electronic power steering (EPS) control module monitors ignition 1 voltage on circuit 739 for faults.

DTC PARAMETERS
DTC C0847 will be current:
^ Ignition in Run or Crank positions.
^ Circuit 739 shorted to ground or open.
^ DTC U1300 and DTC U1301 are not current.
When DTC C0847 is current:
^ Service Wrench telltale will be On.

DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
^ If the ignition signal has failed, EPS will not power up.
^ Inspect for poor connections at the EPS control module and the I/P power distribution center. Inspect for backed out terminals, improper terminal contact, broken connectors, or improperly crimped terminals.
^ Inspect wiring harness for damage.
^ Inspect wiring for chafed insulation.
^ Inspect EPS fuse.
^ Inspect ground circuit proper contact. If the fault is intermittent, wiggling wire harness may assist in locating the fault.
