Battery Tray Replacement

REMOVAL




1. Remove battery.
2. Separate coolant tank hose from underhood fuse box (UHFB) cover.
3. Release tabs on each end of UHFB and roll towards engine.
4. Remove bolt securing the UHFB to battery tray.
5. Separate UHFB harness from harness loops on body.
6. Remove negative battery cable from chassis stud on sheet metal.
7. Remove bolts and nuts securing battery tray to chassis.
8. Lift UHFB and remove battery tray.

INSTALLATION
1. Lift UHFB and position battery tray on studs.
2. Install bolts and nuts.

Torque:
Battery Tray Fasteners: 15 N.m (11 ft-lbs)

3. Install negative battery cable on chassis stud.

Torque:
Negative Battery Cable to Chassis: 12.5 N.m (9.5 ft-lbs)

4. Fasten UHFB harness in loops.
5. Install bolt securing UHFB to battery tray.
6. Roll UHFB towards fender and snap tabs.
7. Install coolant tank hose on UHFB cover.
8. Install battery.
